STAINED GLASS STUDIO/TOOLS RENTAL
in person weekly group classes
Weekly rental classes at OKO Designs Studio in the Mission
These classes will teach you how to design and build a stained glass panel. We use both the Tiffany copper foil method and lead came method. We do not teach or do any painted glass as we currently do not have a kiln.
The prices are low for these weekly classes since they are basically studio and tool rental for artists. However, the teachers of OKO Designs are very passionate about helping and teaching others, therefore they give their time for free during the classes to students who are learning stained glass for the first time. Please be considerate of your teacher and others in class and refrain from monopolizing class time.
Tools & some materials included: nippers, grozer pliers, glass cutter with oil, running pliers, silberschnitt running plier, soldering iron & stand, scissors (lead & foil), fume extractor, safety soldering gloves, four grinders, safety finger cots, safety goggles, lead came stretcher, came bending jig, cricut machine, drawing paper, lightbox, sharpies, and flux. Students can store their material and projects in the studio.
Glass, lead, copper foil, lead & zinc came, patina, finishing compound not included but sold in studio.
Active students get 10% off selected glass.
Rescheduling is very flexible at the moment, same day cancellation is accepted.

Group 3-Week Class Pack
2.5hrs/day once a week for 3 weeks
This 3-week class pack includes 6 hours of class time spread out in 3 weeks (one class a week for 3 weeks). Best for people who regularly take stained glass and need a studio space with tools and a space to store work. You will have the option of picking which day of the week suits you best for the 3-week class. If you can't make a class, you will have the option of trading or selling your class to other students. Material for the classes are available to purchase from Angie Oko at the studio. This package comes out to $20/hour studio time with instruction.

This 6-week class pack includes 12 hours of class time spread out in 6 weeks (one class a week for 6 weeks). Best for people who regularly take stained glass and need a studio space with tools and a space to store work. You will have the option of picking which day of the week suits you best for the 6-week class. If you can't make a class, you will have the option of trading or selling your class to other students. Material for the classes are available to purchase from Angie Oko at the studio. This package comes out to $16/hour studio time with instruction.
